Zoom out!
Today is a day to strategize. To take a few steps up and see your business from different angles. To zoom out and appreciate elements that you may not have seen. Are there customer segments you haven’t targeted before that now seem like a fit?
Can you cooperate with others within your industry or your circle to multiply your effect? The whole is more than the sum of its parts, as said Aristotle.
I know it’s a Bank Holiday Monday in the UK. You may be driving back, getting the kids ready for school, being busy with all that needs to be done. This pandemic has shown us that we can work differently and not be tied to a 9-5 [8-8 if you’re in Financial Services!], a Mon-Fri. Time has taken a completely new dimension. Some days we work more, others we work less to take care of others or ourselves. Covid is giving us this space to make time work for us.
And today, regardless of what you had planned to do, take a moment to close your eyes, take a few deep breaths, connect with yourself, and zoom out. Strategize. Your live, your business. You are leveraging the energies of the day.
I would love to hear if you have thought about something different or have had a clearer vision today 🙂
With Much Love,
Heidi
Zooming out too high can make one realise that whatever we have zoomed out from is insignificant and indeed it may well be. The purpose we thought existed disappears and instead a new dimension of reality appears. Things will never be the same again…
Exactly Sam! It takes us back to the essential and what really matters. And it’s then up to us to progress in the 2 realities or to converge them as much as we can. Often the financial realities impede us from making them converge.
Nassim Taleb is quoted saying: the three most harmful addictions are heroin, carbohydrates and a monthly salary.
There you go, the reflection of zooming out on a bank holiday Monday: we are addicted to a monthly salary. So healing from that addiction is the next step!!!
I couldn’t agree more with you on the quote and on the fact that we are addicted to a monthly salary.
The reason why I said to zoom out now is that the energies of the day are prone to doing this work on that specific day. Not a day after. It also means taking time off at another time to compensate 🙂
Leaving the financial security of a corporate job is daunting at first, but makes us see things from another angle and appreciate that there is an alternative to Time is Money.
